When a severe weather watch or warning is issued by the National Weather Service, the WR120 automatically alerts you, giving you the time you need to take action. Specific Area Message Encoding (S.A.M.E.) Technology allows for county specific notifications for your area. The seven NOAA frequencies ensure coverage in the US and Canada. In addition to weather alerts, you will also receive Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEAs) such as Amber Alerts, hazardous material incidents, floods, power outages and many more. Notifications are made by the 90db siren, voice alert or LED display. Alerts can be displayed in English, Spanish or French. The monitor can be powered with the AC cord (included) or three AA batteries (not included).
