It comes with an easy-to-clean, swing-out brew basket, rust-proof, non-stick warmer plate, and glass carafe that is resistant to high temperatures. An automatic pause & serve function allows guests to enjoy a cup before brewing is complete, and 30-minute automatic shutoff keeps coffee warm for 30 minutes.

Pause 'N Serve Feature

This feature allows you to pour a cup of coffee before the entire brew cycle has completed. By removing the carafe, the flow of coffee will temporarily stop. The flow of coffee will resume when carafe is returned to the warming plate. WARNING! Burn Hazard: Do not remove carafe for more than 20 seconds or brew basket may overflow.

Instructions for Use

1. Wash unit before first use. See "care and cleaning" below.
2. Place 4-6 cup cone-style paper filter or 4-cup coffee pod/pouch into brew basket. If using cone-style paper filter: ensure the filter is fully inserted into the filter holder. The coffee filter should be folded along the crimp on the sides and the bottom for proper placement. This will prevent the filter from collapsing curing brewing.
3. If using coffee grounds: for each cup of coffee being made, place one level tablespoon of coffee into filer. Close brew basket. Make sure it is full closed.
4. Fill carafe with the desired amount of cold water. Carafe holds 23 oz. (650 ml) when filled.
5. Place carafe with lid attached on warmer plate
6. Press switch to ON (Red Light will go on). Press switch to OFF (Light will go off) and unplug when finished.
7. After brewing, the coffee maker will go into KEEP-WARM after two beeps, then AUTO-SHUTOFF mode after 30 minutes (3 beeps will sound).
8. Keeps Warm for 30 Minutes; Beeps 3x and Automatically Shuts Off

Do not swing out basket before brewing ends. Do not touch warmer plate when on.

Usage Tips

• When using a paper filter, always use a good quality, #2 cone filter to botain the best possible results. Or use a pre-packed coffee pod/pouch.
• Take care not to spill loosee coffee grounds between filter and brew basket.
• Make sure brew basket is securely in place.
• The carafe lid must be properly attached to carafe.
• The carafe must be placed properly and level on warming plate before starting brew cycle.
• When using the Pause 'N Serve feature, replace carafe within 20 seconds to prevent overflow of coffee ground and water from brew basket

WARNING! Burn Hazard: Return carafe to warming plate within 20 seconds. Hot water continues to flow into the brew basket when this feature is used. Overflowing coffee and hot water are a burn hazard.

Care and Cleaning

Clean at least once a month (once a week for areas with hard water). To clean inside of the coffeemaker:

1. Place empty carafe on warming plate. Swing empty brew basket shut.
2. Pour one pint of plaint white vinegar into the water reservoir.
3. Plug unit into electrical outlet and press ON.
4. After 30 seconds, press OFF.
5. Wait 30 minutes to allow the vinegar to clean. Press turn ON again. when the brew cycle is finished, press OFF.
6. Empty carafe and rinse. Pour one carafe of cold water into the water reservoir. Place carafe on warming plate. Press ON.
7. When the brew cycle is finished, empty the carafe. Repeat this process with one more carafe of cold water.
8. The coffee maker goes into AUTO-SHUTOFF mode after 30 minutes and keeps warm. Ok to press OFF when complete.
9. Wash carafe and brew basket before making coffee. To clean carafe and brew basket: Wash carafe by hand in hot, soapy water or place in top rack of diswasher. To remove the carafe lid, push hing part of lid to one side and then gently but firmly twist lid. The pin will release from hinge. To replace lid, put one side of lide hinge on one of pins and then snap onto the other pin. To remove brew basket, swing out to open and lift up. Brew basket may be washed by hand or in top rack of diswasher.
10. Cleaning the outside of the coffeemaker: Wipe outside with a soft cloth and warm, soapy water. Do not use abrasive cleaners, as they will scratch the finish.
